The performance was scheduled to be part of a two-night run at Verizon Wireless Center Birmingham in Pelham. Friday’s show will now take place at BJCC Concert Hall in Birmingham. Saturday’s show is still scheduled for the Pelham location.

A post on Widespread Panic’s website pointed a finger at “the risk of high winds, heavy rains and lightning. … Meteorologists predict this storm to be the most intense of this season with winds in excess of 45 MPH. Although the heaviest part of the storm should pass before show time, it is impossible to load-in the sound, lights and backline.”

Friday tickets will be honored at BJCC Concert Hall. The show time remains the same.
