X-Factor Winner Has Meltdown
Altiyan Childs, last year’s winner of the Australian version of “The X-Factor,” had a public meltdown on Seven Network’s “Today Tonight.”
He revealed he was earning less money than in his pre-fame job as a forklift driver – and that he told his former boss he wanted to return.
“I have no money. I think I’m probably about $400,000, $300,000 down,” Childs tearfully said.
The 35-year-old plans to marry his 19-year-old girlfriend of two months.
Childs’ appearance came after an April 1 police raid on his personal manager Steve Gold’s home in Sydney where they charged Gold with weapon possession.
Childs had moved out of the house a day earlier, after a reported argument with Gold over money.
