Woman Killed In Amway Accident
A woman was fatally injured during an industrial accident at the defunct
Tracy Irwin was working for a subcontractor for Cirque du Soleil at the venue when metal scaffolding fell from a forklift and hit her, causing fatal injuries, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
She was reportedly rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she died May 4.
A spokesperson for the city told the paper Cirque du Soleil has been renting the venue. The city-owned arena ceased operations last September.
