Rundgren Coming At You ‘Live From Daryl’s House’

Daryl Hall’s web television series “Live From Daryl’s House” travels to Atlantic City next week for a special show featuring Todd Rundgren.
The Show At Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa, Rancho Mirage, Calif.

“Live From Daryl’s House” started in 2007 with Hall playing with friends in a casual setting. Since then he’s hosted a wide variety of artists ranging from Smokey Robinson to Gym Class Heroes’ Travis McCoy to electrofunk group Chromeo. But no matter who shows up at “Daryl’s House,” the premise is always the same – musicians shooting the breeze while playing a few tunes together.

For the first time in its history, “Live From Daryl’s House” is leaving Hall’s studio and going on a road trip, taking over The Music Box at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa in Atlantic City May 27 for a one-time only broadcast featuring Todd Rundgren.

That Rundgren and Hall are already comrades in arms shouldn’t come as a surprise. Not only are both musicians from the Philadelphia area, but throughout their careers both artists have expressed a great admiration for Philly soul, classic R&B and do-wop street singing.

The plan calls for Hall and Rundgren to do what “Live From Daryl’s House” is known for – talking and playing music. Except this time you can experience the program live. Tickets start at $65 and are available via TheBorgata.com. Can you think of any better way to begin a holiday weekend?
