Aerosmith Headed South For The Fall

Aerosmith has announced two shows in Latin America as the band’s first tour dates of 2011.

The Latin American trek begins Oct. 22 in Lima, Peru at San Marcos Stadium. The fall tour also includes a Nov. 3 show in Bogota, Colombia at Simon Bolivar Park.

“I’m looking forward to sweating up a storm with the crazy Latin American fans,” singer Steven Tyler said in a statement posted on official fan club website AeroForceOne.com.

The Bad Boys From Boston last performed in September 2010. Last year’s tour schedule included a Latin American leg with shows in Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

“The band is so excited to play for our Latin American fans,” guitarist Joe Perry added. “We didn’t think we would be back so soon. Every gig we play there is always a special one.”

Presale tickets go on sale to Aerosmith’s fan club May 24 and 25. Tickets go on sale to the general public May 26.
