The singer performed at the ballpark after the Cleveland Indians beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-3 Saturday night. However, a faulty microphone drew boos from the audience and a few not-quite-ready-for-prime-time words from the Canadian performer.

Rays spokesman Rick Vaughn issued an apology after the performance.

“The Rays demand profanity-free performances from all of our concert performers and we are extremely disappointed by the language used in last night’s show,” Vaughn said, according to the St. Petersburg Times. “It is not consistent with the family friendly atmosphere that Tropicana Field is known for.”

At least one TV station newscaster is also upset about Lavigne’s use of profanity at Tropicana. A newscaster on the ABC affiliate in Phoenix managed to fill three minutes of airtime dissing Lavigne’s alleged potty mouth.
