Ja Rule To Prison

Ja Rule was remanded from a New York courtroom to begin serving time on a state prison sentence June 8.

The rapper, who pleaded guilty to attempted criminal weapon possession in December, was arrested in 2007 after a gun was found in his car. He faces up to two years in state prison.

Ja Rule also faces up to three years in federal prison for millions in unpaid income taxes. He pleaded guilty to tax evasion in March.
