Sweden Rocks On

Sweden Rock confirmed itself as the country’s second-biggest festival by pulling a 35,000 sellout crowd June 8-11.

It’s the fifth time the event has sold out since adding a fourth day in 2007, but event organiser Ingolf Persson says he has no immediate intention of making the event even bigger.

“We made the site bigger this year but it was just to give the fans more space and more facilities, and include an area where they could take a break and relax,” he said.

The acts drawing the crowds to Solvesborg June 8 to 11 included Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Rob Zombie, and The Cult.
