Silverdome Hosting Fair

The Pontiac Silverdome will host the Great Lakes Fair over Labor Day weekend to fill a void left by the canceled Michigan State Fair.

Organizers said the Great Lakes Agriculture Fair was the original event scheduled to take place Sept. 2-3 at the Silverdome but there wasn’t enough time to work out the actual agricultural component – hence the name change.
