Red Hot But Still No USA Dates

Fans anxiously waiting for word on North American dates will have to wait a little longer. So far, the world touring map for RHCP has the band playing Europe, Hong Kong, Japan and now South America but still no news on shows in the good ol’ U.S.A., although we’ve been hearing Spring 2012.

The South American tour begins with the previously announced show in Bogota, Colombia, at Hipodromo De Los Andes Sept. 11. Playing Central America at Costa Rica’s Estadio Ricardo Saprissa Ayma Sept. 12, the band returns to South America when it plays Lima, Peru, at Estadio Nacional Sept. 14. Santiago, Chile, at Estadio Monumental is scheduled for Sept. 16; Buenos Aires, Argentina, at Estadio River Plate Sept. 18; Sao Paulo, Brazil, at Anhembi Park Sept. 21 and Brazil’s “Rock In Rio – Rio de Janeiro” at that city’s Olympic Park June 24.

At this time the Red Hot Chili Peppers have three dates scheduled for August with the band playing Hong Kong Aug. 9 and Japan’s “Summer Sonic” festival Aug. 13-14. With newly added South America taking place in mid-September the band plays Europe in October and December.
