Diddy Settles NYC Shooting Case

Sean “Diddy” Combs has quietly settled civil suits against him related to a 1999 shooting at a Manhattan nightclub in which three persons were hit and Jamal “Shyne” Barrow served time for.

Terms weren’t disclosed but former Club New York owner Michael Bergos told the New York Post that Natania Reuben, the most seriously hurt, was paid $1.8 million and the other two received $50,000 and $500,000.

Combs, Jennifer Lopez, Barrows, a bodyguard and others went to Club New York in December 1999 to celebrate Shyne’s record deal but got into an argument with another clubgoer. Barrows pulled out a gun and started firing. Combs was acquitted of any involvement in the case, but Barrow served nine years and was deported to Belize after being released.
