Hanson’s ‘Musical Ride’

The Brothers Hanson reveal dates for their “Musical Ride Tour” in which you can pick the album the band plays.

While many bands honor their own history by playing a specific album from start-to-finish each night, Hanson is letting the fans do the honors by selecting each evening’s album via the band’s website.

But it has to be a Hanson album, so don’t get snarky and vote for Dark Side Of The Moon, Appetite For Destruction, Hotel California or whatever classic rock album comes to mind.

Along with presenting one of their albums in its entirety, the brothers will delve into their catalog for career highlights as well as playing a few tracks from their latest album, 2010’s Shout It Out.

Hanson’s Musical Ride Tour begins in the Los Angeles area at Silver Lake’s Sunset Junction Aug. 28. The band then heads northward for a gig in Regina, Saskatchewan, at the Casino Show Lounge Sept. 3 before heading down the west coast, playing Seattle’s Showbox At The Market Sept. 4; Portland’s Aladdin Theater Sept. 5 and San Francisco’s Grand Ballroom Sept. 7.

Other stops on the 40+ city tour include Phoenix (Sept. 13); Houston (Sept. 23); Detroit (Sept. 26); Chicago (Sept. 27-28); Minneapolis (Oct. 2); New York (Oct. 18); Atlanta (Oct. 26); and Orlando (Oct. 31-Nov.1).

Ticket sales begin Friday, July 8. Visit Hanson.net for more information.
