Dolls Oz Tour Up In Smoke

The New York Dolls‘ Australia tour in October was canceled abruptly after it became public that some of the shows were promotional initiatives for Imperial Tobacco’s Peter Stuyvesant brand.

It is believed such shows were being rushed through before the January 2012 kick-in of the Australian government’s new legislation that removes all logos and colors from cigarette packs.

Many companies involved in the tour closed their websites.
