More On Bassist’s Great Drugstore Caper

Todd allegedly threatened a Walgreen’s in Attleboro, Mass., early afternoon Sunday afternoon just hours before Coheed And Cambria were to open for Soundgarden at the Comcast Center in Mansfield, Mass. According to the Boston Herald, after handing the pharmacist his cell phone with a text message on it stating he had a bomb, Todd reportedly demanded the prescription painkiller OxyContin.

After the pharmacist told Todd that the drugstore didn’t have any OxyContin, the bassist reportedly demanded another prescription painkiller, Percocet. According to the Herald, the pharmacist then gave him six bottles of oxycodone, the drug contained in brand-name products OxyContin and Percocet.

Every great caper requires a getaway and Todd reportedly made his by hailing a cab that took him back to the band’s tour bus at the Comcast Center where he was later arrested. The show went on with a guitar tech standing in for the missing Todd, according to the Herald.

The newspaper also reported that Todd appeared before Attleboro District Court Judge Dan O’Shea who set bail at $25,000 and that no one from Coheed And Cambria or the band’s label appeared at the hearing.

Meanwhile, Coheed And Cambria posted a statement on its Facebook page saying longtime band associate Wes Styles would replace Todd on the current tour and that no shows would be missed.
