Rob Grill Dies
The Grass Roots member died Monday. He was 67.
Apparently Grill was seriously injured in a recent fall. The Pasadena Star News reports Grill’s wife Nancy posted a message on TopShelf Times last week saying he suffered a head injury and that a CT scan showed “a rupture in the layers of the brain.”
Nancy Grill also stated that her husband had suffered two strokes since the accident and was in a coma.
Grill was the lead singer, bassist and songwriter for The Grass Roots, responsible for such hits as “Let’s Live For Today,” and “Midnight Confessions.” Grill had a solo hit in 1979 with “Rock Sugar.”
