With electric guitars dominating the music scene for nearly half a decade, it’s easy to forget how excellent an acoustic guitar can sound when played by a maestro.

Headlining is McKee, the Guitar Masters Tour vet whose videos attracted more than 150 million YouTube viewers. Known for his signature two-handed technique that turns his steel six-string into a full orchestra, McKee’s latest release is the CD/DVD package Joyland.

Bennett prowess with the instrument is also well known, having been hailed as “the Jedi Master of fingerstyle guitar” by the Toronto Fingerstyle Guitar Association. Dufour’s eight-year-career has already produced six albums of original material and two live DVDs.

The Guitar Masters tour begins at Denver’s Soiled Dove Oct. 12; plays Lawrence, Kan., at the Lawrence Arts Center Oct. 13; and stops in Minneapolis for an evening at the Dakota Jazz Club Oct. 14. Other destinations include Milwaukee (Oct. 15); Cleveland (Oct. 23); Boston (Oct. 28); Philadelphia (Nov. 1); and Annapolis, Md. (Nov. 5).
