It’s been a good year for Brett Dennen. His fourth studio album, Loverboy, dropped in April on Dualtone Records and he’s been working pretty regularly since May playing the theatre circuit for that up-close-and-personal vibe.

While only a few dates grace Dennen’s schedule for August and September, including an appearance on the festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre near Quincy, Wash., Sept. 2, the artist puts his guitar to the proverbial grindstone come October for a lengthy stretch of dates.

The fall tour launches in Athens, Ga., at the Georgia Theatre Oct. 4; plays Chattanooga, Tenn., at Track 29 Oct. 5 and Nashville at “Live On The Green” in Public Square Park Oct. 6.

Other towns on the routing include Covington, Ky. (Oct. 10); Bloomington, Ind. (Oct. 11); Madison, Wis. (Oct. 12); St. Louis (Oct. 15); Memphis (Oct. 18); Grand Rapids, Mi. (Oct. 24); Baltimore (Oct. 26) and Buffalo, N.Y. (Oct. 28).

Blind Pilot supports on Oct. 10-24 except for Oct. 16 when Dennen plays the NPR Mountain Stage in Charleston, W.Va., at the Culture Center Theater Oct. 16.

In addition to announcing his tour today, Dennen’s official video for “Comeback Kid” was released via ESPN.com. Shot in April at the home of MLB’s Oakland Athletics a couple of hours before the team took on the Texas Rangers, the ballclub gave Dennen the run of the Coliseum for the vid.
