But you can’t blame heat exhaustion and dehydration, the two reasons given last month for changes in Lynn’s schedule that resulted in two cancellations and one rescheduled date.

This time it’s one of Lynn’s knees that’s causing the problems, specifically the knee reconstruction surgery ordered by her doctor. The surgery, plus plenty of post-op rest, will keep the singer off her feet for the rest of this month.

Shows being canceled or postponed include Aberdeen, Wash., at D&R Theater Aug. 12; Pendleton, Ore., at Wild Horse Casino Aug. 13; Snoqualmie, Wash., at the Snoqualmie Casino Aug. 14; Great Falls, Mont., at the Civic Center Aug. 16; and Lynden, Wash., at the Northwest Washington Fair Aug. 18. Other nixed stops include Lincoln City, Ore. (Aug. 19-20) and Mitchell, S.D. (Aug. 23).

Lynn is expected to return to performing Sept. 3 in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., at the Loretta Lynn Ranch.

Tickets for shows that end up being rescheduled will be honored on the new dates. Otherwise, refunds will be available at points of purchase.

“I’m sad to have to cancel any shows for my fans, but they tell me I’ve just got to stay off this knee for a while,” Lynn said in a statement posted on her website. Click here for more info.
