I AM Canceled

This year’s I AM Festival scheduled for Sept. 10 at Custom House Pier in New London, Conn., has been canceled because of a lack of funding.

Organizers told the city’s The Day that grants, sponsorships and donations didn’t raise enough to put on the quality concert they’d offered in the past so they chose to focus on next year.

Acts that have previously played I AM include Girl Talk, Matt And Kim, The Drums, Jay Reatard and Martha Wainwright.
