Gavin DeGraw Sidelined

The singer/songwriter takes a break from appearing on the Maroon 5 tour so he can recuperate from injuries suffered from being assaulted in New York City.

Attacked by unknown assailants in New York’s East village Sunday morning, Gavin DeGraw was taken to Bellevue Hospital where doctors treated him for a concussion, broken nose and numerous cuts and bruises. Released from the hospital earlier this week, DeGraw tweeted that he didn’t’ remember much about the incident and canceled appearances in New York and Massachusetts.

Now doctors are ordering more rest for the injured artist, resulting in DeGraw having to take a few days off from touring with Maroon 5 and Train. According to his website, he will not appear on shows scheduled for Bethlehem, Pa. (Aug. 14); Hershey, Pa. (Aug. 15); Nashville (Aug. 17); Indianapolis (Aug. 18); Des Moines (Aug. 19); Chicago (Aug. 20); Clarkston, Mich. (Aug. 21) and Toronto (Aug. 22).
