Madonna To Tour?

Rumors about a possible Madonna tour often emerge from the people within the Material Girl’s immediate universe, such as her label, dancers or crew. However, this time it’s a liquor company that says Maddy is about to hit the road.

Vodka-maker Smirnoff sent out an announcement this week saying it has partnered with Madonna for the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project to “discover the world’s most unique and interesting nightlife.” To do this, Smirnoff is asking adult-beverage fans to tell the company what makes their local nightlife experiences unique. Prizes include opportunities to party down in other countries as well as attending Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Projects right here in the good ol’ USA.

What does all this have to do with Madonna? Turns out the company’s Nightlife Exchange Project is also holding an online dance competition with Madge attending one of the finals to watch the competition. Smirnoff says the winner “may get the opportunity to join Madonna on her next tour as one of her dancers.”

Smirnoff didn’t exactly say when the next tour might take place, but it did provide a quote from Madonna.

“What attracted me to the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is the combination of participating in the celebration of nightlife around the world and the opportunity to discover the world’s best unknown dancers,” Madonna said in the announcement. “The best dancers are always in the clubs looking for the most original experience, just like Smirnoff is doing.”

Madonna’s last road trip was her “Sticky & Sweet” 2008-2009 tour.
