The Kinks-man gives you plenty opportunities to see him this fall. But it all depends on what part of the country you live in.

There’s joy and disappointment in Ray Davies’ newly revealed tour dates. Joy if you live on the East Coast or in Wisconsin, Illinois or Minnesota. But with only 12 shows in 10 states listed on the routing, there’s sure to be more than a few disappointed fans.

Well, maybe not. Davies posted what he calls the “first set” of his U.S. dates on his Facebook page late Friday evening, alluding that there are more shows yet to be announced.

At this time the game plan has Davies playing Voodoo Experience in New Orleans Oct. 30; Atlanta’s Center Stage Nov. 1; Charlotte, N.C., at The Fillmore Nov. 2; and Pittsburgh at Carnegie Music Hall Nov. 4. Other destinations include Madison, Wis. (Nov. 6); St. Paul, Minn. (Nov. 8); Milwaukee (Nov. 9); Chicago (Nov. 11); Buffalo, N.Y. (Nov. 13); Montclair, N.J. (Nov. 18); New York City (Nov. 20) and Boston (Nov. 23).
