Mars Is Bug’n

Bruno Mars has sued his music publisher, Bug Music Inc., claiming the contract has ended.

Mars has filed suit with the Superior Court of California against the company, claiming he has delivered the contracted amount of product according to the contract and that Bug has refused to acknowledge that Mars can now enter into an agreement with Bug or any other publisher, according to the lawsuit obtained by The Wrap.

The agreement was terminated May 12, according to the lawsuit, and Bug did not exercise its option to continue. It also claims that when Mars wanted out, Bug “shifted gears, and suddenly argued that [Mars] had not, in fact, met the minimum release requirements.”

Mars asks the court to confirm the contract is null and void.
