AFI Is Not Breaking Up - Pollstar News

Despite what you might have read elsewhere today, AFI is not calling it quits.

This morning didn’t begin as the best of days for fans of the California punk band. A message reportedly posted by frontman Davey Havok on AFI’s Despair Faction forum declared the band had “matured” and members had “other things in life that they would like to attend to.”

But it’s looking as if the farewell to fans is somebody’s idea of a joke. The AFI News Headquarters blog reports receiving a message from the band’s management saying the group is not breaking up and that “someone is just screwing around.”
