Officials with Grand Canyon University in Phoenix held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Sept. 1 for the campus’ new arena.
The 5,000-capacity Grand Canyon University Arena is part of a $200 million expansion project at the campus.
“The new arena will completely transform the West Valley,” GCU CEO Brian Mueller said in a statement.
“Our goal is to largely enhance the on-campus experience for our students while also providing the greater Phoenix region with a top-notch entertainment and sports destination. It represents an exciting new era in GCU’s 62-year history.”
Casting Crowns is to perform Sept. 23 followed by David Crowder Band, Switchfoot, Lady Antebellum and Third Day.
