Womack Steps Down In Bakersfield

Steve Womack, GM of Rabobank Arena, Theatre and Convention Center in Bakersfield, Calif., resigned early September from his position after 13 years with the facility.

Womack’s departure accompanies a “slump in bookings” at the SMG-run venues, the Bakersfield Californian noted.

Womack declined to comment other than confirming his resignation.

SMG Regional GM Steve Tadlock told Pollstar that Ed Dorsey has been named acting GM while the company conducts a national search for Womack’s replacement.
