America’s ‘Night At The Museum’ Shows
And what a catalog it is. As one of the must-play bands on Classic Rock radio, America’s long string of ‘70s hits such as “Sister Golden Hair,” “Ventura Highway,” and “Horse With No Name” have never grown old and sound as fresh today as when they were recorded more than three decades ago.
The first of the Grammy Museum shows takes place two weeks from now in San Diego at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in the Sherwood Auditorium Nov. 4 as part of the “Pacific Standard Time: Art In L.A. 1945 – 1980” series and includes the band being interviewed by Grammy Museum Executive Director Bob Santelli. America will also take questions form the audience and play an acoustic set. All proceeds will benefit the Grammy Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
A few months down the line America will play the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles as part of “Grammy Week.” Appearing Feb. 7, the group will perform and do a Q&A with fans.
