Gym Class Heroes Cancel Tour

Monday’s show in Cleveland wasn’t the only gig Gym Class Heroes missed out on this week. The group has canceled all remaining appearances on its co-headline tour with the Dirty Heads.

Last week the band canceled a few shows, explaining that vocalist Travie McCoy had been sick since the band’s United Kingdom shows in October.

Here’s what Gym Class Heroes had to say about dropping off the tour: “Due to Travie’s illness, we regrettably have to cancel our remaining tour dates with the Dirty Heads.  Our day-to-day schedule on tour has been grueling, and he really hasn’t had a chance to properly recover.  He should be out of the hospital any day now, and we hope by staying in one place and resting, he’ll be back in action soon.   To all of our fans who bought tickets, we’re so sorry.  We had such a great time recording this album that we couldn’t wait to get out on the road to share the new songs live and in-person with our fans.  That’s why this was such a hard decision to make. We promise as soon as Trav is back on his feet, we’ll get back out soon to see you.”

Dirty Heads will finish the tour, which began Oct. 9 in Dallas and runs through a Nov. 19 show in Anaheim, Calif. The only exception is Friday’s show in Milwaukee,  which has been canceled altogether. Wallpaper will still open the rest of the dates.
