Thank Goodness For Gaga

Lady Gaga is celebrating Thanksgiving with some deep-fried turkey, a few songs and her very own 90-minute holiday special on ABC.

“A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” was conceived and directed by the singer, according to Los Angeles Times blog Pop & Hiss. The show will air Nov. 24 at 9:30 p.m.

The special will feature the singer returning to her alma mater, the Sacred Heart Catholic School in Manhattan, for an interview with Katie Couric.

“This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers,” Couric said in a statement. “Lady Gaga as a high school student still bruised by being excluded from the party, Lady Gaga as a devoted daughter and caring sister, Lady Gaga as a 25-year-old woman embracing fame and fortune that seemed to come overnight. She will impress you, delight you and surprise you.”

Gaga will perform eight songs including her hit tunes as well as “White Christmas” and “The Lady Is A Tramp,” which she sang with Tony Bennett on his recent Duets II album.

And a Thanksgiving special wouldn’t be complete without some food. Chef Art Smith is helping Gaga whip up a dinner of deep-fried turkey and waffles.
