Avenged Sevenfold To Play Free Show

Avenged Sevenfold is showing Bay Area fans some love with a free concert at San Jose’s HP Pavilion Dec. 16.

The band missed a headlining slot during the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, Calif., Oct. 14 and is making up the date during this fall’s “Buried Alive” tour.

“We appreciate our fans so much and felt terrible that we had to miss the Uproar show in October,” singer M. Shadows said. “We want to make it up to those in the Bay Area by adding this free show to our ‘Buried Alive’ tour and making sure that anyone who was supposed to see us that night in Northern California will get the best seats in the house.”

To that end, fans holding tickets for the Uproar date will get first dibs on seats at the HP Pavilion show between today and Nov. 23, after which tickets will be open to the public.

Ticketholders should receive an email with redemption details, although those who purchased Uproar tickets with cash or at the venue will need to submit their emails at rockstaruproar.com/mv.
