Adelaide Entertainment Centre Posts Biggest Year

The 12,000-capacity Adelaide Entertainment Centre set a new attendance and box office record for itself in the 2010-11 year.

A record 415,000 attendees to see 73 acts resulted in the AEC’s biggest box office revenue of $33 million, and biggest profit of $5.4 million.

Under CEO Anthony Kirchner, it also posted a record number of publicly ticketed performances (105) and record function sales (up 38 percent on previous high).

Among the superstars who played the AEC were Metallica, Bob Dylan, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.
