A 20-year-old man died after falling from a second-level seating area at the
Police say the man was critically injured after falling at about 1:15 a.m. from an area directly behind the main stage.
A Colorado State University source said the victim was Christopher Michael Engel, a junior at the college and a computer science major.
Detectives have interviewed security and venue staff, family members and a person who attended the concert with the victim, according to the Denver Post.
The venue said the patron “fell from a restricted area behind the stage. The man was immediately attended to by onsite medical staff and then airlifted to a local hospital. As a result of the injuries he passed away [Jan. 2]. Our deepest thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
