Tax Trouble

A Singapore promoter and concert organizer called Unusual Entertainment pleaded guilty to four charges of “wrongly stating the output tax” on its goods and services return for fiscal 2005, according to the Straits Times newspaper.

All together, eight charges were brought against the company, representing underpayment of S$502,922 (US$388,000).
The company was slapped with a S$10,000 fine and ordered to pay a penalty of more than S$600,000.
