A North American Five Finger Death Punch
The heavy metal band is bringing along Soulfly as support along with Windowpane and Persist.
“The few times we’ve been to Canada it’s been absolutely phenomenal. The fact that we get to take a band like Soulfly with us on a tour like this says it all. This is going to be one hell of a great time, in no uncertain terms,” singer Ivan Moody said.
“We only played a handful of dates in Canada, but they were all sold-out so we are really looking forward to a headline tour up there,” guitarist Zoltan Bathory added. “What makes it even sweeter is taking one of our favorite bands Soulfly with us on this trek. As we are playing bigger and bigger venues, I think it became our responsibility to help expose some great metal bands to our more diverse audience.
The first show on the books is March 23 in Las Vegas at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel/Casino. California gigs are scheduled at the Fox Theater Pomona March 24, Fresno’s Rainbow Ballroom March 26, Modesto Centre Plaza March 27, and the Redding Convention Center March 28. Next are two stops in Washington – March 30 at the Yakima Valley SunDome and March 31 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.
The Canadian tour launches April 2 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, at the EnCana Event Centre, followed by an April 4 show in Calgary, Alberta, at the MacEwan Conference and Event Centre. Additional stops include Edmonton, Alberta (April 5); Regina, Saskatchewan (April 7); and Winnipeg, Manitoba (April 9).
Five Finger Death Punch has also squeezed in a few more U.S. shows in April including performances in Rapid City, S.D. (April 11) and Casper, Wyo. (April 12), as well as a set at “98 Rockfest” in Tampa, Fla. (April 28).
The band is touring in support of its third studio album, American Capitalist, which has already sold more than 280,000 copies in the U.S. The album is more than halfway to CRIA-Certified Gold Release Status in Canada, just three months after its release.
American Capitalist’s lead single, “Under and Over It,” was recently named Sirius XM Octane’s song of the year, while the track “Remember Everything” is already a top five tune at Active Rock and climbing.
Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday. Special VIP packages and tickets are available now through Five Finger Death Punch’s website.
