The Fray: ‘Scars & Stories’ + Spring Dates

The Fray has a brand new batch of U.S. dates in support of the band’s upcoming third album, “Scars & Stories.”

The album is due out Feb. 7 on Epic Records and can be pre-ordered on iTunes.  A deluxe version of the album is available with five bonus tracks made up of covers of Bruce Springsteen’s “Streets of Philadelphia,” Emmylou Harris’ “Boulder To Birmingham,” Annie Lennox’s “Why,” The Fugees’ “Ready Or Not” and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Maps.”

Scars & Stories was produced by Brendan O’Brien, who has worked with Springsteen, Pearl Jam and Neil Young.

“On our first record, we didn’t quite trust ourselves yet,” pianist/vocalist Isaac Slade said. “We loosened up on the second album, but there was still some element of restraint. But on this one, we just stepped up to plate and swung as hard as we could.”
