Bizkit Dedicates Aussie Shows To Fan

On the Soundwave festival, Limp Bizkit is dedicating its set to Jessica Michalik, the 16-year-old fan who died from asphyxiation in the moshpit at the Sydney Big Day Out 2011.

Her name was emblazoned on their backdrop.

Singer Fred Durst told the 40,000 at the Feb. 25 Brisbane show, “Everything we do in Australia is a tribute to you, baby.”

The band also invited Michalik’s father George to the Sydney show.

At the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds show, a 23-year-old man was critically injured.

As he entered, he slid down railings alongside stairs, slipped and fell 5 metres on a mobile cold room before landing headfirst on the concrete floor.
