Electric Daisy In NYC

Before the Electric Daisy Carnival celebrates its second year in Las Vegas, the touring electronic dance music festival will make its debut in New York City.

EDC New York is set for May 19-20. The event, which is presented by Insomniac Events and Pacha, has not announced the venue or lineup yet.

For an idea of what type of acts to expect, the inaugural Las Vegas edition of Electric Daisy Carnival featured more than 200 acts on six stages including Tiësto, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Bassnectar, DJ Marky, Beats Antique, Rusko, EC Twins and Steve Angello.

The 2012 Las Vegas EDC takes place June 8-10 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. More 2012 Electric Daisy Carnival dates will be announced including an event in Puerto Rico.

In addition to Las Vegas and Puerto Rico, 2011 featured events in Orlando, Fla.; Aurora, Colo.; and Dallas.

Tickets for EDC New York go on sale this Friday, March 2, at 3 p.m. EST.
