Nashville’s Charlie Lamb Dies

Charlie Lamb, 90, a longtime Nashville music insider, died March 7 after a battle with pneumonia.

Lamb founded the Music Reporter magazine and was a founding board member of the Country Music Association in 1958.

A manager and promoter, Lamb worked with Elvis Presley, Kitty Wells, Connie Smith and others. He also wrote for Cash Box, and a journalism award in his name is given annually at the International Country Music Conference.
