Man Charged With WWE Theft

A Tennessee man was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $50,000 from a World Wrestling Entertainment bank account.

Authorities said James Dewayne Bass, 34, was extradited to Stamford, Conn., where the WWE is headquartered, and was arraigned in state court on felony larceny and forgery charges.

He is being held on $50,000 bail and is expected back in court March 22.

A company attorney contacted Stamford police in November to report that $50,816 was taken from the company account and spent on goods and services via the Internet and by phone.

WWE reps are investigating how Bass allegedly got the bank account number.
