All About The ACM Experience

ACM vocal duo of the year nominee Steel Magnolia and 2010 ACM top new vocal group winner Gloriana will perform at the inaugural, free ACM Experience.

Scheduled March 30 through April 1 at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, the open-to-the-public event is part of “The Week Vegas Goes Country” leading up to the 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards April 1.

The ACM Experience isn’t just about music. Fans will be able to “shop country, taste country, ride country and hear country.” RAM Trucks will cover the ride portion of the experience with an outdoor test track named the RAM Ride and Drive. Hungry? Some of the biggest names in the competitive barbecue circuit will compete for a $50,000 prize in the ACM BBQ Throwdown. As for the shopping lovers, the ACM EXPO will feature more than 250 unique vendors from across the nation, in addition to performances on the ACM Expo Acoustic Stage.

Friday, March 30 features performances on the Country Thunder Stage and ACM EXPO Acoustic Stage from Thomas Rhett, Greg Bates, Edens Edge, Ira Dean, Andy Gibson and Kip Moore.

Gloriana and Steel Magnolia perform Saturday along with The Dirt Drifters, Mallary Hope, Darren Warren and Sonia Leigh.

Sunday’s lineup includes LoCash Cowboys, David St. Romain, Levi Lowrey, Chris Janson, Blackberry Smoke, Morgan Frazier and Canaan Smith.

Zac Brown Band will host the ticketed, second-annual ACM Fan Jam and Post-Award Concert, which takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center during and after the ACM Awards. The award show will feature live performances from the Fan Jam via remote. In addition to hosting performances from ACM new artist of the year nominees Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes and Scotty McCreery, the Fan Jam is the site where the new artist award will be presented. Tickets for Fan Jam are on sale now beginning at $37 plus fees.

The 47th annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena April 1 at 8 p.m. ET/delayed PT on CBS.
