Hard Rockin’ Paul Simon

Paul Simon will headline the final night of Hard Rock Calling 2012 with a special performance of his award-winning 1986 album “Graceland.”

The seventh annual Hard Rock Calling is set for July 13-15 at London’s Hyde Park.

In addition to playing Graceland in its entirety, on Sunday, July 15 Simon will also perform select tunes spanning his catalogue. Jimmy Cliff will accompany Simon on songs including “Harder They Come” and “Too Many Rivers To Cross.”

Ladysmith Black Mambazo will then take the stage with Simon for their first Graceland reunion in the U.K. since 1987.

“Paul Simon’s Graceland is considered to be one of the greatest of albums of all time,” said Hamish Dodds, President and CEO of Hard Rock International. “We look forward to welcoming Paul Simon to the Hard Rock Calling 2012 stage and celebrating Graceland’s 25th anniversary.”

Among its many accolades, Graceland won the 1986 Grammy for album of the year. Its title song won the 1987 Grammy for record of the year.

Bruce Springstreen & the E Street Band headline July 14 at Hard Rock Calling. Saturday’s lineup also features John Fogerty and Lady Antebellum.

Tickets for Saturday’s show are sold out. A presale for Sunday’s show begins March 22. The general onsale is March 23.
