Hornets Deal Proposed

The NBA’s Hornets could stay nested in the New Orleans Arena through 2024, following a newly proposed deal.

The agreement would include $50 million in arena improvements funded by a bond issue, pending legislature approval, plus a provision that would award the city an All-Star game.

The Hornets’ lease at the arena expires in 2014 and an ownership search has been under way since the NBA took over the team in 2010.
