Eventbrite Rolls Out Reader

Ticketing startup Eventbrite has rolled out its mobile box office solution with the release of the At The Door Card Reader and companion iPad app.

The company has been working since last year on the system, which allows organizers to easily and securely collect credit card payments and print tickets at the door.

The system will also apparently sync sales data and continue to work offline should the iPad lose WiFi signal.

The app has already been put to the test at events including Meatopia, The Orange County BBQ Festival and the IFPDA Print Faire. The upcoming Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City June 23-24 will also use the system.

The reader will be available through Eventbrite’s online Brite Store at no cost for clients, the company said, and service fees on transactions made through At The Door will be waived in celebration of the launch.
