Leonard Cohen’s Euro Plans
Not only did Leonard Cohen’s 2008-2010 tour receive raves from critics but it gave fans a chance to see the man who wrote such timeless songs as “Suzanne,” “I’m Your Man” and “Hallelujah” bring those compositions to life. Sure, others ranging from U2 to Johnny Cash to Nick Lowe to Neil Diamond have covered Cohen over the years but his undeniable coolness while accompanied by a an incredibly talented band is a concert you’ll always remember.
Touring in support of his album Old Ideas, the maestro launches his journey with two nights in Ghent, Belgium, at St. Peters Square Aug. 12 & 14. Other destinations include Copenhagen, Denmark, at Rosenborg Castle Aug. 25; Aalborg, Denmark, at Molleparken Aug. 26; Bergen, Norway, at Koengen Aug. 28 and Goteborg, Sweden, at Tradgardsforeningen Aug. 31.
September includes stops in Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy and France. The newly issued itinerary ends with two shows in Spain – Barcelona at Palau Sant Jordi Oct. 3 and Madrid at Palacio de Deportes Oct. 5.
