Kylie Tests Out Rarities

Kylie Minogue, back from London for an appearance at the Sydney gay and lesbian Mardi-Gras, did a handful of 2,000-capacity clubs through Frontier Touring.

These sold out in minutes, with some fans journeying from abroad.

Wearing a Marilyn Monroe T-shirt and fronting a four-piece band, Minogue camped her way through a 22-song list of b-sides, rarities and demos for her hardcore fans.

She kept a lyric book in front of her, reminding the crowd most had never been performed live.

They included her tribute to one-time boyfriend Michael Hutchence, “Bittersweet Goodbye,” and a cover of “Tears On My Pillow” from her 1989 movie “The Delinquents,” which her father requested.
