Matthew Cox, 24, was charged with the murder of New Zealand singer Tony Williams in Queensland last Christmas.

Williams, who fronted Gold Coast band Sex’N’Chocolate, was beaten to the head and body with a blunt instrument.

Police investigations focused on the singer’s sexual activities, reportedly bedding hundreds of women.
