Vevo Launches In Australia

Music video streaming website Vevo launched its Australian operations April 16 in partnership with TV and radio production house MCM Entertainment Group.

It will be part of MCM Media’s advertiser-funded Digital Entertainment Network.

Vevo already has 5.5 million Australian users generating 47 million streams per month through YouTube.

The Australian version will also look at a subscriber model in the future, and expanding to include IPTV portals in team-ups with TV brands.
