Melt Sells Out In Record Time
Germany’s Melt Festival has set a new record by selling out its 20,000 tickets two months in advance.
The previous record was last year when the tickets were gone six weeks before show time. Organisers of the 15-year-old event, which takes place at an old open-cast mine at Gräfenhainichen, eastern Germany, have issued another warning to fans about buying over-priced tickets from third parties.
In previous years the festival has been targeted by people selling fake tickets.
The year’s Melt lineup July 12-15 has Justice, Gossip, Bloc Party, The Rapture, M83, Niki & The Dove, and Two Door Cinema Club. The German acts on the bill include Casper, Modeselektor, Magda, and Steffi.
