Bradley Center Rename

Bradley Center in Milwaukee has a new naming rights agreement and the 24-year-old arena will now be called BMO Harris Bradley Center, reflecting a $1 million annual contribution from BMO Harris Bank.

The facility was named for philanthropist Jane Bradley Pettit, who donated $93 million to its construction in memory of her father. The name change is a reversal of philosophy for her children, who four years ago said selling naming rights would degrade their mother’s gift, according to the city’s Journal Sentinel.

Timothy Sheehy, president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce, told the paper the revenue, coupled with that of other recent sponsorships, is “the beginning of the story and not the end of the story” for a potential public-private partnership that could lead to a new arena.
