TNA Sues WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment is being sued by Nashville-based Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, which accuses WWE of obtaining secret contract information in an attempt to poach TNA’s wreslters.

TNA’s roster includes Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. It claims WWE has already tried to poach Flair and is pursuing other wrestlers. A WWE attorney denied the allegations.

TNA claims the contracts were leaked by a former employee. With the information WWE allegedly obtained, the company is in position to offer TNA clients better deals, according to the lawsuit.

“The disclosure exposes TNA to potential liability with respect to its contract – WWE knows the details of TNA’s contractual relationships with its wrestling talent, which could allow WWE to place itself in the right place, at the right time, with an offer to TNA’s talent at just the right place,” the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit claims the former employee, Brian Wittenstein, went to work for WWE then leaked the information, even though he signed a TNA contract to not disclose confidential information after his employment ended.
